About

Sea Fishing out of Cork Harbour has many advantages. There are superb Cod, Pollack, Whiting and Conger marks outside the harbour. Cod fishing down east takes some beating, as do the hard fighting Pollack, great on light tackle.

Should the sea be too rough to be comfortable outside the harbour beyond Roches Point, then there are super marks inside the harbour, such as the harbour rock for mixed fishing, the quarry for Conger and the Turbot Bank for Turbot, Rays and other flatties. Bass are a regular species in Cork Harbour too. When the weather is good, there is a lot to see outside the harbour with the resident Dolphins and visiting Whales, Basking Sharks and Orcas (Killer Whales). It can be a real family or group outing with something of interest to everyone, whether they are interested in fishing or not.
